Sheffield United Fan

I am trying to get my son to support the Blades but we live very close to the Emirates so it’s going to be tough when Arsenal are so close by.

FATC: What made you first fall in love with football?

JH: I think it was watching Colin Morris and Keith Edwards play when I was a kid, I remember going to the players entrance after one game, I can't remember who we played but I got Keith and Colins' autograph after which I still treasure to this day.

FATC: How did you come to support Sheffield United?

JH: My dad supported them, so I just followed him. I am trying to get my son to support the Blades but we live very close to the Emirates so it's going to be tough when Arsenal are so close by.

FATC:  What are your earliest football memories?

JH: Apologies but it would have to be the same time I mentioned for the first question.

FATC: What is the hardest thing about being a Sheffield United fan?

JH: For me it's watching as we sell off our best talent for peanuts, I am worried Brookes is gonna go this season.

FATC:  What is the best thing about being a Sheffield United fan?

JH: Watching them destroy Wednesday, also I am proud of the support we get no matter where we are in the league.

FATC:  What is your favourite football memory?

JH: Watching Brian Deane score the first goal in the newly created Premiership.

FATC: What is your worst football memory?

JH: Where to start? I suppose our demotion to league 1 and our subsequent floundering there for what seemed like forever.

FATC: Who is your favourite Sheffield United player of all time?

JH: It would have to be Brian Deane, the 91/92 season was so exciting watching Deano and Agana scoring week in week out and ending the season with promotion to the Premier league.

FATC: Who is your favourite non-Sheffield United player of all time?

JH: Gabriel Batistuta, watching him at Fiorentina was a joy he is in my opinion one the greatest players of all time.

FATC: GTTH - Lothar Matthäus or Zinedine Zidane?

JH: Lothar Matthäus- Legend.
